An advice that someone gave me in the past when I first started freelancing was to find out who the person who can do the same job as I offer to do and take the average of their and their boss's wage per hour and use it as my rate. They still will have their person on a cheaper rate but will not have to take them out of their current assignments which in the long term is more beneficial for the company and my services will still be at a more preferable rate than their next best option internally ( which should be the boss).

" In talking with consultants, when I ask them how often they talk with their constituencies, they tell me "not enough". The few who tell me they meet with clients a few times a week tell me there are still barriers to establishing relationships. The more you meet with people - and put on impressive shows - the barriers will fall. You have to get into the markets you serve and do things.

work-life balance is an ongoing process, not a destination. By default, for a freelancer, the work and life are already integrated. Work happens continuously in mind. In such scenarios, it is mandatory to do meditation and fortunately the benefit of meditation is now known to the whole world. Transformation begins when we start acting on it.
