We never know what is the employee pulse especially in bringing in the initiatives. We should not never be in a pre-conceived notion that employees will like whatever we bring to them. Of course we can have the intention that whatever we bring it will be for their benefit itself. But having a pre-engagement and post-engagement survey is really important to know exactly the do's and don'ts for upcoming initiatives.

So this would essentially be a comparison between the employee prior state before upskilling and the current state after upskilling and OJT (on-the-job training) and new use of the skill. Assess the competency at this point in time gives you information you need to determine what is the next step in advancing competency using utilization as one of the data points in analyzing the current competency.
