As a practicing architect from India, clients usually are not willing to use sustainable design elements, until they provide at least one of two uses, either the element should be aesthetically pleasing or there should be a monetary benefit attached to the component. En paises latinoamericanos todavia se necesita promover la construccion sostenible, sobre la construccion tradicional que sabemos que es la que deja la mayor concentracion de huella de carbono. Tal es asi, que en Argentina en barrios privados, la construccion tradicional por lo general integra a un requisito para poder ser aprobado el proyecto dentro de estos barrios, cuando existen otros metodos constructivos mas eficientes y menos agresivos con el MA. Los cod. de planeamiento y las normas cirsoc que rigen en estas regiones tmb contribuyen involuntariamente a que como profesionales nos inclinemos hacia el uso de construcciones tradiocionales, y modelos estructurales que sabemos que funcionan, pero que dejan huella de carbono.

Definitivamente hablar de sustentabilidad representa un atractivo en el mercado, no solamente a simple vista y a la comunidad, sino también para los mercados, cada vez con más frecuencia inversionistas voltean a ver los reportes trimestrales o anuales viendo las contribuciones en este rubro y posibles clientes piden información especifica de las contribuciones y son parte de su proceso de selección, vivimos en un mundo cada vez más preocupado por el cuidado del medio ambiente, lo que hace que sea una ventala competitiva.
