We can build resilience by embracing reflective practice, taking time to evaluate each setback and understanding what it teaches us about our strengths and areas for growth. This makes every challenge a stepping stone for improvement. Let’s celebrate small wins collectively, reinforcing a sense of progress even during tough times. By acknowledging these incremental successes together, we boost morale and remind ourselves that resilience isn’t just enduring change. It is actively finding ways to thrive in it, step by step.

I completely agree. Maintaining a growth mindset is essential; every obstacle can provide valuable lessons. Personally, I find it helpful to return to core principles during challenging times—focusing on the basics and prioritizing objectives allows me to adapt strategies without losing sight of the ultimate goal. Engaging with colleagues for diverse perspectives has also been invaluable, as it often reveals solutions I hadn’t considered. Looking forward to hearing how others navigate change!

Cultivating resilience in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity during change initiatives involves fostering a proactive mindset within the team. From my experience, I prioritize creating a culture of transparency, where open communication about challenges is encouraged. I emphasize the importance of adaptability by promoting continuous learning and encouraging team members to share their ideas and solutions. Providing support through regular check-ins can help individuals feel more secure amidst change. Additionally, I encourage a focus on small wins, celebrating incremental progress to build momentum. Finally, instilling a shared vision helps the team stay connected to the bigger picture, reinforcing their commitment and resilience.

I want to focus on how a team or organization can cultivate resilience, rather than an individual. Resilience is the natural state of a group of people which has different strengths, and is able to collaborate effectively. If some are naturally strong at original thinking, some are great at evidence-based evaluation of ideas, and some are skilled in executing projects, then the group will have an inherent change mindset. Approaching it in this way means that each individual continues to play to their own strengths, but the team as a whole has been trained to respect each others' different inputs so the team is resilient. Enabling different thinking styles is called "cognitive inclusion".
