One thing I have found helpful is to focus on common goals and agree on initial decisions. Further, the Team Leader should establish communication protocols and communication rhythms. It’s important to have clarity about scope prioritization, data quality standards, tool/technology selection criteria, resource allocation, and performance and timeline expectations. After reaching a consensus, communicate this clearly and document it for easy reference. The Team Leader should also act as a mediator when conflicts arise, assisting in decision-making that leads to better project outcomes.
