Upon reviewing your input and realizing what may have been overlooked and-or stated more clearly, respectfully ask for a follow-up meeting to learn how you might do better in the future. Rarely is such a request turned down. Upon meeting, thank the person for taking the time to meet as you seek insights for improving. -Take notes -Ask questions for clarification -Ask what motivated them to select the vendor of choice -Inquire if they will be willing to consider you in the future Sometimes this approach will encourage a small sale to test one’s willingness to learn and adapt to the company’s needs. ‘No’ does not need to be ‘the end.’ Resilience and the willingness to learn are the differentiators for success.

Don’t take rejection as a negative. Learn from it and put into practice. Rejection can help your business to be better and to help those around you.

Remember the “you” here is not personal. The question is posed in the business environment and it could be a myriad of things: pricing, value, turnaround, even team size. Taking it personally, as I’ve had in the past, is just a blocker - get up, ask the questions and pivot.

Using failure as a tool is exactly the approach I take when receiving rejection. I have learned over the years that the needs of a client determine the direction of my business and target market. While the service I want to provide is great in my eyes, the client needs to see the same thing. This can be achieved through excellent communication and vested interest in my clients and the target market I serve. Take time to learn your clients business and operational needs. Become their resource not there expense. By stepping in the their shoes and becoming a valued partner you will better understand their expectations of services needed.

Listen Carefully to the "No" When a customer says "no," it’s important to view it as valuable feedback. 2. Ask Questions that gives you insights into their priorities, preferences, or pain points.3. Acknowledge and Address the Objection Show empathy "I understand why that might be an issue for you." Then, address it directly. 4.Build Trust by taking their objections seriously and addressing them thoughtfully and head on.

This is very helpful. By having client feedback you can always learn and fix the problem you're having in your current sales model. You can always ask a client the reason why they didn't choose to move forward with us or wha they were specifically lookin in the market. It would give us an idea about the client and his preferences.

Absolutely. Business Development and Sales industry is dynamic. It's always emerging and changing. We should always come out with plans to improve ourselves according to the client's need and feedback.

I used to see rejection as a negative of your ability, but after many years of of both sides of the coin, I have realised the lack of quality morals and ethics not forgetting customer service consistency and value for money. Most rejection is down to Money. Many companies want cheap not quality. There company statement is just to Make themselves feel good but mostly full of crap. Value for money quality is not in the vocabulary of most if not all companies.
