Meiner Meinung nach sollte man, um Sprachbarrieren im Deutschunterricht zu überwinden. In die Sprache einzutauchen, mit Muttersprachlern üben und konsequent lernen. Sich dabei erreichbare Ziele setzen und w?hrend des gesamten Lernprozesses Geduld bewahren.

I start by using simple language and clear visuals in my lessons. For example, I often use diagrams and videos to explain concepts, which helps students grasp the material without getting lost in complex vocabulary. I also implement a buddy system, pairing students with varying language skills to encourage collaboration and peer learning. In a recent project, I assigned roles based on each student's strengths, allowing them to contribute in ways that played to their abilities. I also create a safe space for questions by using anonymous Q&A tools, encouraging all students to express their thoughts without fear. This combination has noticeably increased participation and confidence among students who previously struggled.

Focus on visuals and peer collaboration. Grouping students with diverse language skills together also works wonders. It encourages peer learning and minimized isolation. Clear, simplified instructions, paired with gestures or examples, can make a huge difference. Ensure everyone feels valued by checking in often and adjusting strategies as needed.

I have worked with Chinese students in a Response to Intervention program for improving reading skills. And I knew nothing other than how to greet them in their language. I found that it was a welcome move and then they tried to teach me more words and accents. I tried to incorporate more of pictorial representations or actions to explain English words. It was a collaboration from both sides showing acceptance and respect. Of course, English cannot be taught in Chinese but reducing the language barrier is what is important. The key point in language is communication and that has to be done well by managing barriers effectively.
