Is the issue at hand fraught with risk and potential model killing results? The reason you need to know this is to understand and react accordingly. It may not be directed at you personally, but reactionary based on the nature of the situation, or it may be retribution for results or a lack of going against a recommendation. Then, engage in a calm, professional manner, not overexplaining, and use the meeting to clear the air.
