I have had to handle this twice in my career. 1. The first step is recognising it and admitting it. 2. The next is to take a hard look at yourself in the mirror, know that you are in the right place and tell yourself to stop being hard on yourself. 3. Next, I looked at all my experience as if I was interviewing myself for a role. Spending time to evaluate your own experience is essential 4. Listen to others; listen to what they like about you, why they look up to you and believe what they think 5. Listen to your closest friend or your partner; they see things in you that others may not and they see many things you don't see in yourself 6. Believe the hype, believe you deserve it, and own it.

In my experience, imposter syndrome never truly disappears, it just becomes something you'll need to learn to live with. It does not matter how experienced or accomplished you become, there will always be a nagging voice of doubt that still tries to creep in. I've found the key is not to eliminate it, but rather become comfortable with it. Over time, you'll come to realise that self doubt doesn’t mean you wont succeed, it means you’re pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. While they may not admit it, even the most successful people will feel like imposters at some time, so you are in good company. To gain great success, you need to keep going and learn to embrace that feeling.
