What I like to do when in the process of a new feature is, 1- I always let know developers before hand with a high level story of the feature so that when the refinement time is on the door, it is no surprise to them. 2- I will explain design and the feature by creating a story about how it reflects to user. 3- I try to provide a gap for developer to comment, this can either answer the developers questions in mind or can light 1 or 2 bulbs in your mind for the improvement points. 4- Give credits, thats for sure is to best you can do for your teammates contribution. Creating such environment will allow the team putting more effort than a surface level interaction and improve the desire for communication during development.

Prioritize the important aspect, choose those design assets that are must needed. Sometime's get some food arrangement for your devs you know bribing them, haha. But jokes apart a foster collaboration is great to complete a work by keeping the important design solution within the boundaries.
