En mi experiencia dentro de la industria de los alimentos, es frecuente , debido al desabasto por frutas o ciertos ingredientes que se vuelven dificiles de conseguir, lo que queda es impulsar la venta de otros porductos y crear cierta expectativa con ayuda de mkt con campa?as de como "espera pronto tu producto"

Los atrasos en la entrega de productos pueden tener un impacto negativo en la confianza del cliente. Acredito que a honestidade e uma comunica??o transparente podem ser necessárias para que a confian?a entres as partes seja mantida, afinal de contas, problemas na cadeia de suprimentos pode acontecer. Deve-se adotar também uma notifica??o proativa, informando os clientes sobre qualquer atraso assim que for possível, explicando de maneira clara sobre o ocorrido apresentando sempre desculpas sinceras. Se possível deve-se apresentar ao cliente alternativas que possam amenizar o prejuízo, informando de imediato quando o produto original estiver disponível.

I believe most product availability can be somewhat foreseen at least a few weeks/months before it happens through market trends, some climate effects, historical demand, etc. Only very few things (which do happen!) will be completely unpredictable, such as fires, natural disasters etc. For anything that could be foreseen, I'd say advanced communication and contingency planning is the best policy. For anything completely unforeseen, open communication and business reactivity to find alternative materials or ways of delivering will be the second most relevant.
