In my experience, facing conflicting feedback on training methods is always common. One of the perspective is to assess feedback having mixed reviews few might be positive, negative, biased, without biased. So assess it and categorise it for training methods options.

Dry run and blending the Training Methodology IMO, its quite common to get such feedbacks on training methodology especially if the audience is diverse with respect to skill or experience levels. Approach the feedback without bias. Try to connect with the participants individually to understand their expectations and based on the inputs received, try formulating a blended methodology that works across the spectrum. Also, Before finalizing the training plan,Try identifying a sample audience with different experience and skill levels and have a dry run with them as a pilot exercise. Getting conflicting feedback is always poses a bit of a conundrum, doesn't it? Of course, the first thing to do is look for patterns, especially in terms of how many responses are similar. That's usually a good sign that further work needs to happen in that area. But if you have a one-off sort of comment, that's where it can get really tricky. Sometimes, a particular method or topic needs to stay in regardless of what participants say...if that's the case, then you can say "duly noted" and move on. If that's not the case, then I engage in some serious reflection, often member checking with others about my thoughts. That way, I can be sure that I'm giving each piece of feedback serious consideration.
