Who's writing the check? You have to keep them happy first and foremost. You can push back if you think they're wrong, but at the end of the day, they're paying for the work and they get to decide what they want you to deliver.

You have to combine talking to individuals with talking to groups. Sometimes you need to engage with one person, understand their issues, and try to resolve disagreements privately. At other times, you need to get them together to hash out problems between themselves. Send a clear group email that says "A wants this, B wants this: they're both valid approaches, so which way do you guys want to go?"
