You're facing a complex Control Engineering project. How can you maintain focus and motivation throughout?

Goal should be clear, before starting any project brainstorming should be done. Entire team of concept to commissioning team should part of milestone fixing to identify critical path and parallel paths with sufficient breathing time, and total visualization of project is important. If everyone clear achieving Goal is possible. This was practiced in industrial project and gave me 100% success and client had lot of confidence for future project. After 14 years Project Head(retired) called and reminded golden days of team effort.

when we see a project is completed... Can we notice why this project started? Whenever we decide to improve our system or upgrade the system , this thinking is called the word goal. After completing the above work is called the achievement of our goal.

Priority setting is a crucial part throughout the life cycle of the product development. If priorities haven't been set in advance or they are not evaluated continuously when developing a control system from a clean sheet, there is always a risk to get distracted by the most "shiny" areas (e.g. user interface) before getting a robust core software in place. Another consideration is stabilising, during the early stages of the development cycle, the right process for the management of change requests. These two will go hand-in-hand and will contribute to a successful outcome.

Time management is important in engineering – Time Cost Money(TMC) To manage the project in engineering the project engineering phase should be planned with break-up with respect to Cost and delivery time. Engineering phase of project is important and Major engineering should be completed within 20% of project schedule. Major items should be classified in Cat-A, B, and C and the time schedule should be monitored through project management software classified item should be operated with skilled engineers with proper support team. Any change in the plan with actual will verified regular interval, any short fall in the progress need to be addressed with proper solution and necessary corrective action will give success of good engineering.

Industrial project (Oil& Gas, Power & Material handling) Collaboration is key activity this efficiency can be achieved through various stack holder participation. Entire project task will be discussed with all discipline team in common plat form in Macro level and highlight the importance. The common meeting will address individual of discipline needs, intern other discipline requirement will be addressed. The collaborative efficiency can be achieved, Especially O&G project Risk classification of GO/NO GO in the common meeting evaluation result will highlight future risk list, how to safely handle NO GOs in right manner with support of other discipline and how to proceed with GO procedure in right manner with additional improvisations.
