I started out as an Location Scout in the Film industry so I know how to scout locations and look around a main location always for a secondary location and even a third, there's always something around the main location if that was the falls through without compromising your creativity. You just have to have an open mind for change and don't be headstrong on one idea. I hate to use the term go with the flow, but it definitely comes in handy in this situation

In a professional set up one must have had an opportunity to photograph in all sorts of environment both indoors and outdoor and a change of environment will mean little and no much change in the quality of work output one may need different set of gears but as a professional this shouldn't affect the quality of work but we rather embrace it and quickly adopt.

Arrive a little early and scout the location to test out which backgrounds work well and are lit well. Sort out settings so you are ready for your clients when the arrive.

1.If time is of the essence, then I will take five minutes to search on google maps, for locations relative to the initial one. I'll take another 10 minutes and involve my team to collaborate on the best spots. The last 10 minutes will be spent on solidifying the exact spot , through "street view" on Google Maps, to see, a snapshot of the atmosphere we are scouting for. Arrive at the new spot and take a moment to breathe three times. 2.Using my camera's view finder, I would zoom out so the viewfinder is at a .6x zoom rate. I can encapsulate a wider area with this feature. Matching the light of my initial target is most important to me. I would find the correct lighting in the viewfinder of the camera and move my team to that position.
