Here, you’d want to upgrade to a bigger server to keep things running smoothly. In today's modern cloud architecture Kubernetes is the most popular technology for running compute workloads. Few techniques that work out well to optimize your Kubernetes workload- ?Reducing your pods to zero/minimum count during weekends/non-business hours is the easiest way to ensure that you are not incurring unnecessary cost. ?Apply auto scaling feature of Kubernetes to scale resources when there is sudden load on the system without sacrificing on performance needs. ?Regularly perform Rightsizing to assess resource needs and adjust your configuration to make sure you are not under/over provisioning resources. ?Look for options like reserved instances, which can offer significant savings over on-demand pricing.

Data should also have a purpose or value, why store it if you don't need it. Create performance/cost tiers for your data; routinely accessed data that is mission critical will sit on highly available highly performant storage services; while archived data can leverage the cheapest storage options or possibly stored "off-cloud" or on-prem.
