When staff opinions on training content diverge, finding common ground is essential for effective implementation. Start by conducting anonymous surveys to gather honest feedback without the pressure of group dynamics. For instance, ask team members to rate specific functional training exercises or methodologies, which can reveal trends and concerns that need addressing. Next, consider implementing a trial period for the training content. Allow staff to test new functional training techniques in a controlled environment, and then hold a review session to discuss the results. Finally, facilitate an open discussion where everyone can share their viewpoints.

Take everyones' thoughts and opinions into consideration. Ultimately, the team leader has the final say as to content execution. As long as the team leader is doing his/her job effectively, then all staff members should feel heard... and they should also have some influence in how content is generated. If all the staff members have good ideas for training content, then make note of them and integrate them in future pieces of training content. A surplus of good ideas is always a plus. It's nice to have a full pipeline.
