Start by knowing yourself: identify your values, what drives you, what motivates you, the value of the experience you are about to share, your weaknesses and opportunity areas. What can you offer and what are your expectations. And be sure to really understand what a role as a mentor really is (so is not confused with other roles such as coach or trainer).

3 Evaluate your compatibility

4 Establish your expectations
