As a Chartered Chemist, I can be successful in my endeavours by putting my honest views and Research to the governing authorities to safeguarding the environmental issues like saving the Yamuna River by proposing plans, installation of Landfill Leachates treatment plants for municipal solid waste disposal sites to save ground water and surface water from highly contaminated leachate mixing, protecting water canals by fensing iron mesh both sides, installation of CCTV cameras at potentially suspected pollution discharging sites, maintenance and dredging of Drains of the city, etc. There must be a sense of fear in the mind of polluters. It is better to take precautionary measures than treatment.
