The tool should provide us both 2D and 3D animation with less storage space for output files; so, that can be easily accessible by the students from Local Server or from Cloud...This is very important for the students from Rural as well Urban aspirants! And cost effective!

Some popular options include Vyond, Adobe Animate, and Toonly. Vyond offers a range of customizable templates and characters, Adobe Animate provides advanced animation features and is part of the Adobe suite, and Toonly is known for its simplicity and ease of use. Ultimately, the choice depends on the specific needs, budget, and level of expertise of the professional.

There are a lot of great animation tools available today. Select carefully based on the level of sophistication needed. When using animations to foster learning, be careful not to make them overly complex... make sure to match your learning objective, the complexity of the content and the experience of your audience. Perhaps surprisingly, PowerPoint animations can be very effective when creating learning animations!

In my opinion, we must keep our audience's interest in mind while selecting a tool for creating the animation. Some of the best animation tools which I have tried, and I would strongly recommend others to try, are Animaker AI, Blender, Adobe Character Animation, and Autodesk Maya. out of these, my favourites are Animaker AI, Blender and Adobe.

Character animation is something I am passionate about. There are countless tools that can be used to make character animations very easily, but, from my point of view, there is one that stands out both for its versatility and its ease of use. Unlike tools such as Vyond, Animaker, Toonly, I prefer to use Create Studio, which includes several types of characters (cartoon, 3D and flat or minimalist styles). Although, it also offers a subscription to have access to all the resources, it has a perpetual license that is not very expensive and allows you to work with a respectable amount of characters and actions. It also allows you to create whiteboard videos, which are still widely used for explanatory videos.

As a programming teacher, the most effective tool I use to teach animation to my students is a board and a marker. This way, I can clearly communicate what I'm trying to convey.

Its very important to know your audience preferences, and to know that you need to create personas of your different audience to be able to create something similar to how they think ??

How do they behave in their daily lives, what would be the time for this art to be consumed, and not generate dissatisfaction, is it accessible, if your audience is people aged 40 to 60, does it follow the possibilities of adding contrast , increase the volume, remove the sound effects to keep only people's voices so that there is no more noise, it has subtitles, etc. This must be analyzed!

Your proficiency in design and animation plays a crucial role. If you're a beginner, tools with drag-and-drop features and pre-made templates, like Powtoon, are ideal. For those with more experience or a background in graphic design, Adobe After Effects offers advanced features for creating detailed and custom animations.

There are times when we have nowhere to run, hard skills are extremely necessary, and when creating animations I can say that for the final quality of the arts, technical knowledge is necessary. From now on my advice is to learn frame-by-frame animation, and basic design techniques, at least its basic principles: Contrast, Alignment, Repetition and Proximity. From there, the application of what was learned can be used from creating a gif in Adobe Photoshop to more advanced animation in After Effects.

What I would suggest here, try multiple tools initially experimentation paves better ways and sometimes open new ways of doing things.

Our primary students have made great in class animations with Animaker. It is intuitive for younger students and doesn’t have as large of a learning curve as Powtoon. Also, if students have MAC/iPads then KEYNOTE has better animations and transitions than PowerPoint.

Powtoon: Great for beginners and educators looking to create engaging presentations and explainer videos. Adobe Animate: Best for creating interactive animations with a bit of a learning curve. Vyond: Offers a wide range of characters and scenarios for creating professional animations suitable for all age groups.

One editor I have had great success with is p5js.org. Is is completely free. Students create animations using JavaScript. The editor with very user friendly, with a robust reference guide, and the capability of curating personalized studios. I love this tool for teaching middle and high school students. It is a perfect example of how computing and art interact with each other.

Vyond is a paid for subscription but it’s amazing. Very intuitive to use, lots of ready made examples and 24/7 support for any questions you have. It’s great for the beginner and also the more advanced ????

In my opinion, besides above animation tools, camtasia, vyond and doodly are also good options with subscription and need less technical skills then adobe animate. They are also aligned with many platforms and authoring tools.

Si no tienes conocimiento sobre las herramientas, simplemente con mirar un tutoría y seguir los pasos podrás comenzar a generar las primeras creaciones. Siempre tener en cuenta los objetivos, el uso de las herramientas disponibles en la plataforma de acuerdo a las necesidad del alumno y la importancia de crear este andamiaje y facilitar la comprensión.

Considero que es un recurso valioso para construir aprendizaje significativo, sin embargo, hay que medir la brecha entre la capacidad instalada de la plataforma del entorno virtual de aprendizaje, y la complejidad requerimiento tecnológico de la animación. En mi caso, la universidad donde imparto clases, utiliza Moodle, el cual es muy restringido para el manejo de estos recursos, a menos que se vinculen a enlaces externos, lo cual es una debilidad del sistema, y un desafío para mantener el itnerés del estudiante.

For ed-tech animation tools I like to use Canva ?? very simple, intuitive and easy to use. It is even easier in handover as everything is in one place.
