To stay calm in the midst of the storm, I encourage every accountant to the following: 1. Stay organized by keeping a to-do list to keep track of deadlines. You can create calendar invites to block time for scheduled month/quarter/year end activities. 2. Break your tasks into manageable chunk such that everything does not fall due at the same time. For example, do some tasks weekly to reduce the workload during month or quarter end close. 3. Maintain work-life balance by setting boundaries and keeping to them. Include social activities and hobbies in your schedule when workload is light. 4. Seek support by delegating and collaborating with other colleagues. 5. Finally, do the best you can each day and remember we live to fight another day.

As an accountant, the pressure of tax and accounting deadlines can be mentally exhausting. What’s helped me manage that stress is not just focusing on work, but also prioritizing balance in my life. Setting personal goals outside of work gives me something positive to work toward, and I make time for simple pleasures—whether it's enjoying a hobby, squeezing in a date night during busy weeks, or treating myself to my favorite food. These small, intentional breaks recharge me and help me maintain my well-being despite the demands of the job.

Identificar e mapear as a??es necessárias é o primeiro passo. Boa sorte ??

As an Accountant, understand that achieving 'corporate result' is more a team work than a solo performance. So trust in the finance team enough to share your burdens, ask for help where necessary, and teach others (subordinates) to do lesser and more routine task, so you don't become jack of all accounting trades and master of none. Remember, Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M).

When corporate accounting deadlines start piling up, I focus on staying organized by breaking my tasks into manageable pieces and setting realistic daily goals. I make sure to take short breaks to breathe and recharge, even if it’s just stepping outside for a moment. I remind myself that it’s okay to ask for help or delegate when things get overwhelming. Balancing work with time for hobbies and relaxation is crucial for keeping stress at bay and preventing burnout.
