As a Data Mining professional, one thing which is always helpful as available is DATA !! Before asking for a raise or hike in salary, there are certain elements to consider. You can backup your request with some/all of the below points: 1) Number of Projects successfully completed 2) Value/Benefits Realised from the projects 3) Your learning curve which represents your knowledge footprint in various areas 4) Knowledge of work required to be performed in the next level of hierarchy (if you are also looking for position growth) 5) Backing up your request with the market standard payment for this role. Details on salary slab (median) for a particular role+experience is available on many professional sites which can also be used.
