In some cases, burnout is caused by treating each deadline as the same. Sure, we create a plan or strategy with the best intentions of meeting a set deadline. However, things change, priorities change. To avoid the burnout consider the following: 1. Determine which deadlines are most important and see what you can do to still meet them. If there is a challenge, proactively reach out to anyone affected and see if you can get an extension. Provide alternative dates. 2. On less important ones, again reach out to anyone affected and provide an alternative timeline. Explain your issues. If you get pushback, begin to negotiate alternative times. In many cases, when you are proactive, many times you'll be able to reschedule.
