Or you might need static ultra low-power/low-cost over a wide area, in which case you may need a BLE/5G gateway device as a relay. You may require URLLC in which case 5G Standalone devices - & quite probably a Private Network, since public networks are at launch phase - would be appropriate. Requirements 1st, technology 2nd.
