To become a library consultant, your first step is create your brand on social media such as @LinkedIn. My recommendation would be to create a business plan even if you’re keeping your day job. Spell out your goals with timelines and specific outcomes and then network! It takes time, but libraries will find your services and word of mouth will also help you succeed.
