Las sesiones online son una gran oportunidad, te permite acercarte a personas que por distancia no puedes ver en persona, otras con un tiempo limitado o que tengan algún problemas para desplazarse. Aún así, opino que lo más importante es crear una buena relación de ayuda y crear un espacio seguro. Esto favorecerá muchísimo la intervención aunque sea más “fría” al ser online.

Virtual sessions present a unique opportunity, especially when working with clients experiencing school phobia or agoraphobia. By initiating exposures from the safety of their home environment, we can systematically address fears. I, as the therapist help to build and work through a fear hierarchy, expose myself gradually throughout our one-hour conversation or multiple conversations, starting with no video, progressing to video without being on camera, then displaying the top of the head, and finally, a full-face view on the screen. This stepwise approach effectively serves as an exposure strategy, aiding in overcoming phobic responses.
