Based on my personal experience, strategy as well as choosing the right one is somewhat underestimated. Different types of businesses require different strategic approaches. To find the right one, consider the scale of your business, capabilities/resources, and a company's goals. Mixing in different strategies is key to success - do not only prioritize uniqueness and importance of your product, but also work on in-house communication between adjacent departments (marketing department could be your best friend if used properly), or might as well think of giving a vertical integration a chance i.e. partnering with enterprises in related fields.
