Optimizing performance is crucial in applications that either perform a lot of processes to provide a certain functionality or run CPU intensive tasks, or in the worst scenario it could be both. When you face any, or both situations, don't panic about thinking how can you efficiently overcome this before actually jumping into planning any solution. You might be already thinking about the best optimal code you can write, but, Have you already planned the actual solution? You cannot build a table without planning how to build it. Why would you spend time thinking about all the issues you might face if you haven't planned anything yet? Plan first, optimize later. Planning is the best optimization approach that most devs don't think of.

Delivering complex software at scale demands effective, continuous testing. Without it, we're one deploy away from a multi-million dollar mistake. - Implement robust CI/CD pipeline. - Run unit tests (90% coverage) on every commit, integration tests periodically i.e. every 4 hours. - Ensure test validity i.e. aim for 80%+ mutation score. - Make code observable. Telemetry is a must. - Stress test relentlessly, pushing limits before users do. - Quantify impact: track defect escape rate, mean time to detect/resolve. - Analyze regularly, adjusting strategy based on results. - Create developer-friendly frameworks. Remove excuses not to test. It's about mindset, not just tools. Embrace continuous testing as a core value, not a checklist.
