As humans, we tend to prioritise the things that are urgent or will be recognised. Prioritise growth by making it a goal, something that is constantly talked about and measured against. Bringing this to front of mind so often, will transform into being a natural state of thinking and mindset. And always remember to celebrate when we achieve goals. This is not a tick and flick exercise, it is important enough to be a goal for a reason, and that therefore means it is important enough to be recognised and celebrated.

To foster a collaborative growth mindset, it's essential to leave room for failure. Growth is rarely a straight line, and the best thing I've done to cultivate a learning culture is to treat learning like experimentation. Most experiments fail, and we gain knowledge from those failures.

Often it's a case of getting out of the way. This can be a challenge for leaders - it comes up a lot in executive coaching. Learn to stay quiet, trust in a teams ability, learn to coach as opposed to tell. Give time and space for them to grow. Measure impact, keep the team focused on team goals and team purpose. Align the opportunities to this
