I've found that diagnosing hardware issues tend to rely on an overarching understanding of component interactions. Keep looking at the big picture, you might have too much of a laser focus on specific pieces of hardware when it might be something obvious elsewhere.

Always starting from something that got my "eye" on to issue. Figuring it out piece by piece. Lot's of time in hardware issue is drivers, BIOS version or something people trying to do themselves. More listening and reading about OS or Antivirus is a must these days. For begining asking right person for advice and not clicking all you see.

I would also suggest getting certifications: When it comes to Networking and extending you knowledge base, Fiber Optics certifications, Cisco Certification, COMPTIA+, Windows certifications, AWS, etc pulls you ahead of other people competing in the field. Getting certified for Switches, routers, cabling, and any extension of it makes you more valuable as a technician.

I believe one of the best things you can do when it comes to network proficiency would be practice! Get your hands messy, make a few projects of your own, deal with networks intimately and READ. It's a great feeling setting up networks and having them do exactly what you want them to, but it takes practice. Keep yourself up to date and try to always learn something new.

Certificates are good but don't get me wrong. Lot of people get school done and can't work on those things. Practice is more important to see what are you doing and then understanding it's purpose.

Data recovery is big thing and will be. No HDD or SSD that can run forever. Stay on track with theirs life-time, space etc. Recover from HDD or SSD can be done fast/easy or not. Depending on total error and damage. Stay backuped with more solutions for important data.

A problem I've noticed in the cyber security field as of late is how often unscrutinized code additions make it into production, especially open source software. Making sure we have multiple skilled individuals in these areas I believe would heavily benefit everybody into making safer code additions.
