No team can function without mutual respect. In business it can be easy to let the personal get in the way of the professional. You don't have to LIKE the people you work with. Humanity is a rich tapestry and you're unlikely to like everyone you meet, same goes for yourself, you won't be liked by everyone. But everyone deserves respect, even at the most basic human level. Teams succeed when each member respects what others bring to the table and respect each other as people. This respect actually makes disagreement better to engage with as well. You don't have to agree with people, but if you can respect their position, and they yours, then you can debate things in a way that's likely to lead to effective compromise.
