There can always be one time slot in a day where all the team members whereever they are across the globe can catch up once in a fortnight atleast even if it is bit of a stretch like late night or early morning for a few. Meeting up in a synchronous manner atleast occasionally is very important to foster a collaborative bond and a great team spirit and provides the necessary encouragement and momentum to tackle all challenges.

Setting up cadences (rotating or fixed) irrespective of work load or Project stage is probably the best way to go about ensuring the progress is monitored and fixes are made at the right time. Building a discipline of Weekly / Bi-weekly updates which everyone is required to adhere to works wonders when the teams are scattered. Further circulating a format which comprehensively captures essential performance indicators amongst stakeholders not only keeps them updated but also helps in timely identification of risks and building their mitigation plan. PM's can ensure planning for receiving timely inputs for all known dependencies by following such cadences. Keep reminding the team that Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean!
