Facing pushback on new data quality measures? Here's how to turn the tide:
How have you successfully implemented new procedures in your workplace?
-
Often times Data Quality implementation is very difficult to adapt. Also, Engineers do not keep DQ as part of their task list so that causes friction between implementation and consumer teams. So, in order to mitigate such situation ensure that implementation is not done in silo and pushed to the team to adapt. Moreover, prioritisation of DQ needs to be communicated from Consumer to Producer team, hence should be part of overall strategic direction for the org.

You must start by clearly explaining the benefits and how they improve overall performance. Also involve the team in the implementation process, listen to their concerns, and provide necessary training. You should show them how these protocols can make their work easier and more efficient.
-
you do not know if they persist intentionally or not so, 1- scheduel a call with the team & explain them the value of the quality protocol for the organisation 2- if individuals do not pay attention, scheduel a call individually & explain them they are acting against organisation rules & protocls 3- if any individual reapts it, fine them slightly 4- if again they do not pay attention, I think you need to make a hard cecision

You must start by explaining the benefits of these changes for their work and the overall project. Also, involve them in the implementation process to gather their input and address concerns. You should provide training and support to help them adapt, making the transition smoother and more engaging.

In my view, you must explain the benefits clearly and how they will improve overall results. Also involve the team in the implementation process, listen to their concerns, and provide training to ease the transition. You should show how the new protocols will make their work easier and more efficient.
