In times of crisis , the most common perception amongst the team is that they have no role in resolving it. Its upto the leaders to use their managerial skills and resolve it! Involving the team by listening to their inputs and possible solutions and also giving them a level one responsiblity at crisis handling is required. This builds trust,while giving them an understanding of valuing professional inputs. It can never be a lone battle.

Primero decir que es muy raro encontrar resistencias internas a la hora de implantar un Plan de crisis, ya que todo el mundo en Comunicación corporativa entiende que en cualquier organización va a tener que sufrir una o varias crisis, irremdiablemente, por el simple hecho de su propia existencia. Ese hecho irrefutable hace que estar preparado sea un must que hay que trabajar y preparar para cuando llegue. Dicho esto, el primer paso para enfrentarse a la creación de un Plan de crisis es escuchar a todo el equipo para que nos den su visión y opinión tanto sobre el proyecto del Plan como sobre los escenarios de crisis que pueden acaecer.

Al empezar la elaboración del Plan de crisis hay que escuchar y abordar todas las opiniones de las distintas personas que consideremos clave de la organización para que nos acerquen su visión de posibles problemas que pueden surgir en su trabajo, para poderlas analizar y evaluar si necesitan de un plan de contingencia específico. Esta fase en la creación del Plan resulta muy importante porque, de alguna forma, introducimos y descartamos escenarios de crisis por la probabilidad que creemos sobre la posibilidad que puedan suceder. Se tendrá que ser muy cuidadoso descartando escenarios posibles ya que si algún día sucediera, caería sobre nuestra consciencia no haberlo contemplado.

Los beneficios en la elaboración de un Plan de crisis son muy notorios, especialmente enfatizados por otros casos que conozcamos, o que hayemos vivido con anterioridad (crisis que hayemos pasado), para proyectar hacia los recelesos en invertir parte de su tiempo realizando el Plan de crisis. En mi caso, veo absolutamente fundamental tener uno, lo máximo detallado posible, y contemplando el número máximo (realista) de escenarios posibles para estar preparado para su llegada, en el caso que sucedan. Esta sensación de 'estar preparado' en muchos casos, trae una tranquilidad que vale la pena a muchas personas para realmente llevarlo a cabo.

La práctica regular en simular una crisis ayuda a concienciar a los menos motivados, viendo cómo se desarrollo una situación de crisis. Desde la pérdida de un USB con información crítica hasta el incendio de las instalaciones, hay mil y un escenarios posibles a planificar y simular: robo de información, espionaje industrial, caída de la electricidad durante 1 o 2 días, intoxicaciones, sabotaje, muerte de un compa?ero, ataque cibernetico, intrusos en las instalaciones, etc. Cada escenario tendrá su plan de acción y salida de esa crisis, pensada y meditada con tiempo, eliminando al máximo de la ecuación los nervios y el pánico del momento.
