Allow them to make decisions on things which will not backfire dramatically if they go wrong. They can test their judgement and realize mistakes are not always critical.

When you hire the right talent there is no need to micromanage them, if you empower them and be there for their questions and tend to their worries that team can create wonders as a high functioning team . I had some amazing managers / leaders throughout my career and some terrible ones too.. take the best examples and apply in your leadership positions, never forget the ones who were bad as well, pretty simple but powerful. Leadership positions must belong to people with that magical personalities possess leadership skills, not to those who have been in that position for certain years! Two of these are mutually exclusive.
