En cada una de nuestros Sprints, cuando hay diferencias entre el equipo, valoramos 3 aspectos que dejan a todo el mundo satisfecho, se sienten escuchados y respetados: 1. Recordatorio del GDD (Game Design Document). Se revisa el GDD sólo en la parte que está en conflicto. Todo el equipo participó en el GDD en pre-producción y todo el mundo estuvo de acuerdo en que esa sería la esencia del juego. La idea que se parezca más al GDD, tiene prioridad. 2. Test A/B o User tests: si hay presupuesto, tiempo y personas, y el conflicto es entre diferentes Features o Dise?os de UI, se aplica el Test A/B. 3. Por último, democracia: si el conflicto es con un tema poco relevante, lo sometemos a votación. Saludos desde Somni Game Studios

I know it sounds obvious but: do your GDD. But don't be too extensive. In other words: don't get into too much details. Why? GDD is an amazing doc for establishing goals and the general idea of the Game's direction. As you advance in the dev of your game, you'll start noticing that you'll have to adapt the path to those goals and directions. If the GDD has too many details (i.e. game world economy, specific features, mechanics...) and you need to change those details as you learn how your game is going to be played, the GDD stops making sense, which means you have to redo it. Which means more hours and work. So, draw a GDD with general Goals and Direction, but keep it simple to not lose sight of them and having maximum flexibility.

Para que la iteración tenga éxito, en mi experiencia, es esencial crear una cultura que premie la innovación y equivocarse. A veces una Feature queda bloqueada por el miedo de alguien del equipo a "defraudar" o que "no salga como espera" y hacer perder el tiempo a sus compa?eros/as. Como todo el mundo tiene derecho a equivocarse cuando prueba algo nuevo y está demostrando iniciativa por mejorar el juego, se reduce la presión individual y mejora la relación con los compa?eros, ya que aprecian esa actitud, la animan y no "te cancelarán".

Personally, I encourage the diversity aspect because an idea that doesn’t quite work for your specific product is not necessarily a bad idea; it’s simply one that doesn’t fit the overall vision of the game. Two aspects to bear in mind, in my opinion: The process of getting to a really good idea can involve churning through a hundred bad ideas. The more bad ideas we go through in a short period of time, the faster we get to the correct solution. An idea that seems bad may become an excellent idea after toying with it for a bit. By fostering an environment where anybody can voice an idea, we may end up striking gold. This is all however a two-way street: we all have bad ideas from time to time. It's essential to take it in good humour!

La diversidad es buenísima para que el resultado final, de cualquier producto o servicio, sea el mejor. Y para tener diversidad, voy a referirme a lo que mi mentor me ense?ó: la teoría de los colores en el carácter. Hay cuatro colores que definen el tipo de carácter de una persona en el trabajo (azul = más analítico y facts-based; rojo = más comercial, con más inclinación a liderar y con urgencia por acabar las cosas; verde = buen rollo, busca el equilibrio en todo y evita el conflicto, ayuda a todo el mundo; amarillo = el más alegre, motivado y entusiasta de todos, es contagioso). Tener a los 4 colores en un mismo equipo puede llevar a discusiones muy largas, pero asegura un resultado final más completo.
