In learning as far as me there are 2 ways, 1. Horizontal 2. Vertical Horizontal is learning everything about a domain as a overview and not too deep or technical. Vertical on the other hand is going deep on something specific. So go horizontal just to survive and go vertical to achive something new. Just like digging, veritical is harder and takes time.
