Promote support from classmates: Match the student with a competent and encouraging classmate for collaborative projects or study groups. Learning from peers can increase self-assurance and offer a different viewpoint.

I have tried mixed methods in class. Like -giving the student some extra guided time to complete particular assignment in class - Calling them post lecture hours and helping them with doubts - giving extra practice questions and simplified solutions - take help of a good student for assisting them Sometimes the students also seek support when they hit a low confidence and panic prior to their exams. I have attended to calls from few such students and listened to them till they could calm themselves down and resume studies. And in some cases even referred them to our student Counselor. We are fortunate we have a dedicated counseling cell in our Institute.

I’ve adapted my teaching methods by focusing on individualized support, assessing students’ specific challenges, and offering tailored feedback. One-on-one sessions outside class, peer tutoring, and creating study groups have also been effective

One to one conversation is relevant solution, however, during the class distributing eye contact equally between audience, asking question randomly, validate and ensure that all audience are engaged and actively listening and participating. Keeping a good relation with the audience is a perfect way to empower each student to ask his questions freely! From my point a view, a good teacher should have no suffering students in his class!

Talk to the student: Have a private chat to understand what’s really challenging them. Adjust teaching style: Simplify things or use examples that fit how they learn best. Extra help sessions: Offer some one-on-one time or stay after class to help them catch up. Create a safe space: Let them know it's okay to ask questions anytime, no need to feel shy. Encourage and support: Keep motivating them, reminding them that learning takes time and that they’re not alone. Track their progress: Check in regularly to see how they’re doing and give more support if needed.
