One of the biggest things I have found is identifying the minute tasks that rob the key players from effectively running through their tasks efficiently. I reassign those tasks to others to keep the rhythm and flow of the project steady and allow the important jobs to get completed quicker by the most skilled. Something as simple as hiring additional labors just to pick up trash after all the trades instead of them doing it daily has produced a 6 month early completion of a project.
