Al plantearse la idea de digitalizar un proceso con la ayuda de sistemas tecnológicos, el ahorre en costes se ve reflejado solo si, el proceso es un conjunto de tareas estándar. Es solo ahi, cuando la opción de un Saas puede ser recomendable y sera la mejor opción, sin necesidad de grandes equipos tecnológicos y de proyectos para la creación e implementación de este, incurriendo en gastos significativamente menores por el uso de este sistema. El problema es cuando se requiere una opción personalizada, el cual un software en la nube tiene altas probabilidades de no cumplir con esta necesidad. Ahi es donde se requerirá aumentar los costes por implementar este servicio. Es por eso que bajo este criterio, lo categorizo como un “depende”.

En este punto no estoy de acuerdo. Un sistema en la nube depende del creador y el proveedor de este para hacerlo seguro. Un sistema funcional, no necesariamente tiene que ser seguro. En cambio, un sistema personalizado propio, se le puede dar las reglas de seguridad que requiere el negocio, sin interceder con un tercero para aplicarlas. De hecho, poniéndonos en la posición de un cliente de un software en la nube, solicitando a su proveedor una solución de seguridad, vendrá acompa?ada por una cotización exageradamente alta en comparación por el pago del servicio. Esto no esta mal, dado que el foco del proveedor es entregar un servicio estándar, no personalizado. En resumen, el punto de seguridad no necesariamente sera algo mejor.

La agilidad es un valor que cada vez mas las empresas están designándolo como un valor de estas, sobre todo en el mundo productivo y logístico. El digitalizar un proceso, ya es un avance, independiente si es un software en la nube o un software propio. Si el proceso es estándar, se puede optar por un software en la nube y traerá todos los beneficios de este, y uno de esos, es la agilidad. Un sistema le permitirá al usuario ser mas eficiente, controlar de mejor manera las tareas en el sistema, y poder tomar decisiones de una manera mucho mas rápida, pero esto no solo viene en el software en la nube. Perfectamente podría tener un sistema tecnológico local, el cual se podrían configurar para aumentar esta agilidad que entregan los sistemas.
