Experimentation with new methods or technologies is indeed a way to jump-start a team that is stuck in a rut - but, beware! Experimenting can lead you down a new rabbit hole. We must always keep some focus on where we are going either by time-boxing a spike in the ground on a new idea or technology, keeping experimentation as a side-task and/or having a clear business objective to try to solve. In the end, the goal is to feed our expansive, creative process without forgetting the converging process that follows and don't let the experimentation become the means to itself.
