If you think you need to update technology then you need to ask 5 questions: WHY? confirm and agree the reasons that this must be done. (loss of sales, inability to do 360 maketing etc) WHAT? make sure you know what the end goal is. (is it just CRM or full CX experience) WHEN? is there a time line that impacts this.(end of life support etc) WHO? is involved (eg marketing) HOW? will be this be done (off the shelf, in stages etc) Use these to understand how you will deal with the issue. .

Outdated technology can be a major drag on your sales team's productivity. To give them a boost, invest in modern tools that streamline their workflow and improve efficiency. Provide training to help your team master the new technology and leverage its capabilities. Encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing among team members to make the most of the new tools. When my sales team struggled with outdated technology, I knew it was time for a change to boost their performance. First, I assessed their specific needs, gathering input on which tools were hindering their workflow the most. Next, I advocated for updated technology by presenting a compelling case to management. I highlighted how modern tools could streamline processes, improve communication, and ultimately drive sales. Once we secured new tools, I organized hands-on training sessions to ensure everyone felt comfortable and confident using them. I encouraged team members to share tips and best practices as they adapted, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
