Unexpected market shifts/trends WILL happen. I try to be a jet ski and not Titanic. Instead of panicking, I go straight to the customers. What are they talking about now? How has their language shifted? That’s my new north star. Then, I adapt our message to match those changes. Drop what feels stale and embrace what’s relevant. I also keep an eye on the competition, but not to mimic them. I try to stay calm, nimble and keep the message relevant while everyone else is still figuring out the new rhythm.

A new player is influencing language, location, or perception, which means how you say things needs to change 3. Leadership changed, which means you need to re-align and re-obtain buy-in Understanding the source will help you lead the outcome.
