It is a norm that all employees or staff would want an increment , I would think increment only warrant to review annually and rewards us based on their performance , contribution and overall attitudes and attributes! If any staff request indirectly as supervisor we have to explain to them how is the company procedure and when is the review period ! We also have to show them their past and current performance to derive their needs to review and also the company have any situation that warrant to retain staff or need staff to shoulder heavier responsibilities in order to perform adhoc review on the remuneration ! As supervisor we must explain the importance situation that warrant adhoc review of remuneration beside the yearly review!
Yes i agree with that assess should do performance on data , objectively & with transparency. It is both win win situation where assessor as well asassess feels confident of their work & it also boosts moral of the assessor
