Creo que el hecho de que el subordinado cuestione una idea de su jefe no puede ser considerado como un desafìo a la autoridad. Llevàrselo al terreno personal es el problema. Si queremos fomentar la creatividad y la innovación de nuestros equipos, no podemos coartar sus ideas porque sean distintas a las nuestras. If you only lead with authority, then you're not a leader. Leaders lead with influence. Authority helps, but it's not necessary. I'm a leader even though I'm not in charge of anyone at the moment. I also wasn't in charge of anyone in my last job and people still did what I asked them to do. It was because of influence, not authority. If you feel like someone is challenging your authority, you need to look inside yourself to what's causing this insecurity. Insecure people fear challenges to their authority, people that are comfortable with themselves welcome these challenges as it helps them grow themselves and their teams

It’s important for a direct report to be able to challenge something if they see it differently from their perspective. However, you might want to have a conversation with them afterwards, as to what the most effective way to challenge things might be.

One of the reasons your team members may be challenging your authority is that there may be a gap between your words and actions. Start practising what you preach. The team is always watching you as a leader. When there is no gap between your words and actions, your authority will be respected.
