Your design team is divided on sustainability values. How can you unite them towards a common goal?

Based on architectural theory, the three areas have the same importance, the social area, the environmental area and the economic part, what would really lead me to lean more towards one of them would be the context of the project, and from this transmitted perspective to the work team would be my position when approaching the project

Sustainable design is context specific. It starts with a systems-based approach, and seeks to find closed-loop solutions for each system. This requires having expertise and/or partners that are familiar with the environmental, social, and economical challenges in the community and region of the project. For example, a restaurant in the Great Lakes region can utilize a dishwasher and reusable serviceware as part of their strategy. whereas a restaurant in arid eco regions (e.g. Denver or southern California) may find better solutions, using 100% compostable serviceware.

In interdisciplinary teams, the most important thing is to make them see that all areas are of great importance and that decisions are not made unilaterally, so training members in the areas of other specialties makes us see the project more objectively.

Each project has different objectives based on what its occupants are expected to contribute, so placing the concept of the project is a priority to walk together, the circumstances and the environment are always different, as different as the internal dynamics in the operation of the building. so setting clear objectives from the beginning aimed at the general concept of the project is the easiest way to reconcile opinions.

People aren't just interchangeable cogs - they've got their quirks and superpowers. You've got your big idea people, your get-stuff-done people, your smooth talkers, and your take-charge types. The magic happens when you figure out who's who and let them do their thing. The idea guy isn't gonna magically become Mr. Spreadsheet, and that's okay. You need both to make the magic happen. So instead of trying to jam square pegs into round holes, embrace the chaos. Let the dreamers dream, the doers do, and the talkers talk. When everyone's playing to their strengths, that's when you get a group that's firing on all cylinders. Know your people, play to their strengths and watch the fireworks. It's not rocket science, but it works.

Personally, I believe that the best way to invite project members to participate is to give them the certainty that they will be heard and that their opinions are valid; and in the end according to the objective of the project, select the best options according to the project and not personal objectives
