1 Assess the feedback

First, based on the feedback we receive, we set specific, measurable improvement goals for our skills and performance. These goals should be realistic and action-oriented, with clear plans on how to achieve them. Furthermore, once the improvement objectives have been identified, we develop a detailed action plan to achieve them. This includes identifying necessary resources, assigning responsibilities and setting clear deadlines. In this way we believe we use feedback effectively to improve our skills and performance.

The fourth step to using feedback is to communicate your actions to the feedback giver and other relevant stakeholders. This is essential to demonstrate that you value their input, are committed to improving your IT consulting skills, and are open to further feedback and collaboration.
