First, remind your colleague of their wins—small or big. Help them reconnect with their purpose and past successes. Share your own experiences with self-doubt and how you overcame it. Then, suggest practical techniques like reflective journaling or seeking feedback from those they’ve coached. Confidence isn't built overnight, but it's always a journey. Remember, "The best coaches don’t have all the answers—they ask the right questions."

I would give back you are struggling with self-doubt, what exactly are you struggling with? What was the first moment these thoughts/feelings crept up. What happened then. What can you tell more about it. Asking what do you want to do with this (situation). When you go back and associate into the situation with all the knowledge and wisdom you have now, what would you say/advise your younger self. How does your younger self react. What does this do with you. How does this new insight help you in your situation to make a next step and what step will that be. What is your motivation (scale 1-10) to make this next step, what do you need (increased motivation) to make this next step sucessfull. When we meet again (period) what has changed.
