From my experience, clients sometimes react against particular words or phrases that appear hokey or faddish. In such situations, it is sometimes useful to think about the opposite. I would ask them what ist the cost of leaders acting mindLESSly. How does that tend to work out?

I ask clients to start by checking their feelings. Once that is done I get them to engage in a mindfulness exercise.. And then ask them to see the difference in their state of being and clarity of thought...It has always worked. I prefer to keep it simple because there is nothing complicated about mindfulness.. So no big theories or too many bullet points to explain.. A practical on the spot demonstration is always effective ..
