I have always tried to look at things from their point of view. What is their workload and what are they observing in you that you yourself do not see. I have in the past dealt with criticism because of my anxiety disorder so I had to sit down and try to get them to understand that I was doing the job best to my ability. Some bosses are understanding while others are quick to write you up. Whatever the case is it's important to know your job going in and know your leader.
